Introduction

These Terms govern access to LangCapture's website, application, Chrome extension, and APIs. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

LangCapture provides real-work English assistance and active learning for software professionals. Features may include Work assistance, personal expression storage and matching, Work Replay, learning feedback, text-to-speech, immersive page translation, export, reminders, and APIs.

The public website may contain static examples. A content-bearing model request requires an authenticated account and an explicit submission; public examples do not provide anonymous AI usage.

Eligibility, Accounts, and Security

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you use LangCapture for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to do so. You are responsible for account credentials, extension or API tokens, and activity under your account. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Your Content and Authorization

You retain ownership of content you submit or save. You grant LangCapture a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to transmit, process, store, and display that content only as necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and support the service.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to submit content. Do not submit credentials, secrets, personal information, confidential company information, regulated data, or any other material that you are not authorized to process through LangCapture and its listed service providers.

AI and Generated Output

Language-model and text-to-speech output can be inaccurate, incomplete, unnatural, or inappropriate for a particular workplace context. LangCapture provides assistance and learning feedback, not legal, security, compliance, employment, or professional advice. You must review output before sending, publishing, executing, or relying on it.

Learning states such as Needs Support, Developing, or Independently Produced describe observed Replay behavior. They do not certify mastery, workplace performance, pronunciation, or actual use at work.

Trial, Subscription, and Read-Only Access

New eligible accounts receive a 14-day full trial without providing a payment card. The validation subscription is USD $9 per month and renews automatically until canceled. Current price, tax, currency conversion, and available payment methods are shown at checkout by Creem.

If the trial ends without an active subscription, or paid access expires, your personal library becomes read-only. You may still view, export, and delete saved expressions, but new model generation, adaptation, Replay, and new audio generation stop until access is restored.

You can cancel from billing settings. Cancellation takes effect according to the paid period shown in your billing account. Except where required by law or expressly stated at checkout, fees are non-refundable.

Fair Use and Operational Protection

Normal individual use of Work, Replay, learning feedback, personal matching, adaptation, generated fallbacks, and short Learning Target TTS does not use a visible credit balance or action counter. Immersive page translation and long-form TTS have separately disclosed character allowances. Cached audio replay does not consume new-generation allowance.

We may apply input-size, rate, concurrency, security, and abuse controls that are generous for normal individual use. We may temporarily limit or suspend automated, shared-account, resale, scraping, denial-of-service, or other abnormal usage that threatens cost, reliability, security, or fair availability. Limits may change as the service and provider costs evolve; material user-facing changes will be disclosed.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to violate law; infringe rights; submit content without authorization; bypass access, privacy, billing, or usage controls; probe or access systems without permission; resell the service without agreement; automate abusive workloads; distribute malware or spam; or interfere with service security and availability.

Payments and Providers

Creem processes checkout, payment methods, refunds where applicable, subscriptions, and its customer portal. Other providers involved in hosting, AI inference, TTS, email, analytics, or authentication are described in the Privacy Policy. Provider availability may affect the service, and a content request may fail when required privacy conditions cannot be met.

Intellectual Property

LangCapture software, public content, features, design, and branding are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant rights to our trademarks or brand assets. You may use generated output and your saved expressions subject to applicable law and third-party rights.

Suspension, Termination, and Changes

We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, abuse, nonpayment, legal requirement, or a necessary action to protect users and systems. You may stop using the service and request account deletion. We may modify or discontinue features; if a change materially affects a paid service, we will provide notice where reasonably possible.

Warranty and Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect security, accurate AI output, or a specific learning or employment outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

Changes and Contact

We may update these Terms and will publish the revised version with a new effective date. Questions can be sent to support@langcapture.com.
